If one assumes that James is The Godfather, then certainly Sly is at least a Capo.

May the funk bombs explode. Get up off that thing and shake it till you feel better.

I would not think my work at habitat for humanity should be listed under the other section especially when the trend of the affiliates listed deal strictly with airline affiliation.

On a side note there used to be an option for Intern on there. I was a previous flight ops intern at regional carrier. So I put that under the "other" section as it seemed to fit the theme. I need to go back an check but I do not think Intern is even on the list anymore. Anyone else in my same shoes?

You are correct. I could not recall if it was still there or not. So with that said, would my inclination to place other airline flight ops intern under the "other" section be more appropriate than showing I volunteer at Habitat for Humanity?

So question for the Guard/Reserve crowd: If you have training within the US that would prohibit you from starting class, should you change you date of availibility?

My unit said they could make arrangements for me to get to an interview should I ever be fortunate to get a call for one, but I wouldn't be able to start class until all the training is complete in a few months.

If you interview and are offered a job, you have 12 months to accept a class date. Of course there would have to be a class available when you are able to take one...

Current plan is to hire +or - 40/month for the foreseeable future.

Jaxs,

We look at availability pretty close. We need people who are available within a few months for the most part. The pooling of candidates helps you in this case but when we look to setup interviews it is for those available sooner than later. You should be ok. Some mil guys with availability 6 months or more due to retirement or end of AD obligation usually don't get called until closer to end date or after end date. PM if you new more info. Good luck with training.

Good morning all,

What bases and aircraft are new hires being awarded? Also, when do you find out your assignment?

thanks

New hires are currently filling 737/756 in IAH and some New York. After the second day you will have your base and airframe. However, the new hire classes are moving to Denver next month. The new hire class will be in a completely different format and you will have a mock bid on your second day so that you can go call the spouse and discuss what you can hold and where and what's best for you. The next day you will come in and bid it and then you have that plane and base. It will take a little time but eventually the Bus and other bases will be available for new hires. Plan is still oldest gets first choice and then next oldest, etc...
