Vacancy Bid 1404V

Everything you stated above is wrong and not sure where you get your info. 8 yrs I have never argued with a mechanic. If we want it fixed it gets fixed. Don't see the reason to delay pax for an auto throttle inop when it can be fixed on the overnight. Some things come up like weather, and we choose to have an Mel fixed. When those situations arise I never heard a thing about it. I don't even know what domestic I'd check is. Drop a copy of my medical in the v- file, never thought of that as a problem. I have never even owned a hat. Please don't get me started on driving away customers, the only thing I have done sense this merger is apologize to customers that they are now flying on UAL metal. What else you got?

Well sorry that happened to you. I have never had that experience. Have talked to a few mechanics that have complained about the rudeness of the pilots. Heard it first hand from a 777 guy on the mtx freq. Wouldn't of helped in either if he talked to me like that. Sometimes how you go about things determines the end result. Just food for thought.

What he posted is just some of the crap that we now have to endure as a result of Jeff's team running the show. We're being unnecessarily and punitively micromanaged while water floods the hold. All of it designed to get us to capitulate.
Note I used the term, "some". He took it easy.
Eight years and you don't know what a grievance is? I think that's pretty good evidence of the difference in the two cultures.
As far as driving away customers, many of the long time UAL high rollers are now flying DAL. That's a revenue problem, not a cost problem.
PS That's "since" the merger.

I am curious to see the grievance activity comparisons for the two groups at different time frames.... I am sure the company has binders of data on it......

Don't think treating people with respect, is ass kissing. My point was you were writing something up that wasn't broken. How you handled the situation could of have something to do with your outcome.

Please explain why filing grievances is a measure of a pilot groups legacy. Ever think that maybe you just worked for a ****ty company, therefore you had a lot grievances to file.

Ahh yes, but positions awarded in a SLI by Federal Arbitrators amounts to stealing jobs in your mind. Don't talk to me about respect. See you out on the line.

You are saying that CAL is a company with higher than average CBA compliance and had a union that wasn't management friendly....
I've been trying to get someone from CAL to articulate the positives of the CAL pilot culture... perhaps you can offer insight?
