If I can't trade it via the automated system, can scheduling still assist with these "bad day/worse day" trades?
Thanks for any info!
Nope, that's gone! That was such a great feature about our other system, really helped me improve my line every month.

Having now used the trip trade system under both systems, the current one is far worse than the old one. Never had this many problems before with trading.

You may be right that it worked at standalone CAL but now its all Jeffed up.

This system is far different from what existed at CAL and is, by my understanding, closer to what existed at LUAL. In any event, it matters not because it is, as you said "all Jeffed up."

I have used both systems and preferred the CAL trip trade system. Same goes for the vacation bidding process LCAL folks had. You are going to get to play with the new system here in a few days.

Given the new forfeiture rules on vacation, I'd ensure I put my intent to bid all days in the primary bid when it opens. That option won't be available in the secondary/tertiary bids when they happen. FWIW.

Cheers,
Lee

It looks the same (i.e. has the same interface) but starting with the CCS transition it works MUCH different. I'm sure it's different for LCAL as well.

What does "Potential Open" trip mean? Is it the same as an advertised trip under the CAL system? If I want to drop a trip and it is a potential open trip can someone pick it up or can I pick up a potential open trip?

Thanks

I think it means that the guy who has it has it on file in a trade for something else, if his trade goes through the "potential" will become "open."

I think the potential open trip are straight drops. I have a trade entered trying a to trade into another trip a day earlier...and the one I'm trying to trade out of does not appear under the potential open trips.

I believe the potential open trips are only available for a straight pickup on days off.

Thanks for the info. I'm still trying to figure out all of the terms. There is not a lot of open time in my base, so I was guessing the potential trips were trying to be dropped.

So if I put one in there some one can pick it up out of the potential section? I'm sure we have no coverage so they won't grant a drop.
