I hope you aren't a former RJ pilot that got your job as mainline pilots were being shown the door. I don't fault those that did and harbor no ill will towards them at all. That's life. But for those that later went to CAL turning around and having the nerve to complain about a furloughed (and most likely much older pilot) getting some credit for his years of service is disgusting. It is the thing I wonder about each time I see a young slick tie go walking by. Hopefully that doesn't describe you.

"And most likely a much older pilot?"
What does age have to do with anything? It has as much to do with anything as relative seniority. Nothing. It shouldn't matter how old one pilot group is compared to another. Perhaps this time it was a consideration?

Two pilot groups. Pilot group A on average has 10 years more longevity than group B. Would you care to venture a guess as to which group has a higher average age? The sli qualifier is longevity but age is an accompanying statistic.

Seriously!?
lets skip all the my dog is bigger than your dog BS here and cut to the chase. Anybody who would;

A. Post this.

B. Have a problem with following the contract where this provision is clearly and obviously written for a very clear and obvious reason;

Is extremely naive at best, completely ignorant and has no understanding of how why or what a JCBA is and how it works. AKA Managements very best wet dream of a compliant little robot of a pilot. Do what you are told, don't think, don't read or know your contract we've got your back, now roll over and let Jeff rub your belly...

WOW no wonder this management thinks it can get away with the stuff it tries to get away with.

Did you read the thread? This is not about legit cases, just the abusers. Those guys just screw all of us. The guy described in post 94 is no different than a scab in my opinion.

You have no idea what a scab is. A thought that doesn't surprise me with the mentoring you have received.

Before one starts throwing accusations against "north" pilots followed by special project wannabes leveling veiled threats based upon special knowledge of ONE incident, the real issue with backlogs should be addressed.

I read the thread, what I could stand to read anyhow. I also know people who have done a week or two guppy of training then been sent home due to a lack of instructors, sim time and the inability of UAL South to schedule, coordinate, prepare or execute the most simple and mundane everyday tasks. Tasks BTW that UAL North was getting done without the slightest issue or hiccup before the "professional" management of UAL South came into the picture and showed us how to do it right.

If it is in the contract USE IT! That is why we have a contract.

A buddy of yours I presume? Funny how much you guys espouse about unionism and pins yet support those you try to game the system and abrogate seniority to screw their "brothers".

And there is no more "north" and "south", we are one...ie these guys screw ALL of us.

Ah...deflect and blame CAL. How predictable.

Use the contract if you have a legit issue...otherwise don't try screw fellow pilots while hiding behind a pin.

You are about as sharp as a bowling pin. How is the companies failure to perform and it's inability to operate within the confines of the JCBA in any way shape or form pilots screwing fellow pilots?

While we are at it is there anything else in JCBA we should be ignoring? I'd like to hear your opinion on what parts of the JCBA are to be followed and what parts should be ignored?

And just BTW in case you didn't get the memo DENTK is NOT having these delays and scheduling issues. IAHTK can't seem to hit their butt with both hands. That right there is simply a fact, no deflection necessary. If that upsets you for some irrational and unknown reason I guess that is something you need to work out with your therapist.
