That's what I've been told, anyway.
That includes consolidation hours from what I've heard... Need the 100 hrs in 90 days post OE.

What happens if you don't get your consolidation hours accomplished in the allotted time?

I think they just send you back to the sim for a refresher and then another leg or two of IOE. They need to bring back the consolidation lines. L-UAL would give you a line out of training to get your 100 hours.

Why spend $$ on OE lines when the current trend is "safe enough."

Click on AQP Manual (Complete) link then

Sec 3.3 Page 1 (or page 857 of the whole manual)

Two ways to avoid TK.

Not true, this just happened to me…..I lost 21 days of vacation with NO conflict in training, PDR'ed it and this is what I got back:

Tom,
Unfortunately, yes, the company can choose to cancel your vacation when you move to a new Category if the vacation is after your activation date (the beginning of training). If you were displaced, you have more rights but either way if the vacation conflicts with training or consolidation the company can choose to cancel it.

11-F-5 If a Pilot is activated in a Category that is other than the Category in which he was awarded annual or monthly vacation, the Company may cancel vacation that is scheduled to occur after the activation date.
11-F-6 Notwithstanding Section 11-F-5, a Pilot who was involuntarily displaced may retain vacation scheduled to occur after the activation date under the following conditions:
11-F-6-a If the Pilot does not require training and he notifies the Company of his desire to retain such vacation.
11-F-6-b If the Pilot requires training and he notifies the Company of his desire to retain such vacation, provided further that the vacation start date does not fall between the start of scheduled training and the end of:
11-F-6-b-(1) the next two (2) Bid Periods following the Bid Period in which the Pilot is scheduled to complete his training, if consolidation is required; or
11-F-6-b-(2) OE blocker days, if consolidation is not required; or
11-F-6-b-(3) scheduled training, if the Pilot does not have OE blocker days.

I'm going from the 777 to the 787, training of 13 days….they had 20 days to get my OE complete, but canceled November, December AND January vacation…..sucks….

Yet they wonder why no one is willing to waive their duty time.

This happened to me. You go back for a 1 day landings class which extends your consolidation for 30 days. It actually wakes up the schedulers and you get assigned trips(hopefully). No LCA required

If you are within 45 days of your consolidation drop dead point you can call the futures desk and ask for certain pairings...per my conversation with a futures desk scheduler.
