Can someone explain to me what happens after the 787 fence goes down? Does the seniority list shuffle to reflect proper seniority or do the UAL guys stay on the bottom till another vacancy bid frees them? I haven't been able to find where it is spelled out. Thanks in advance.

It's spelled out in the arbitrator's award of the SLI.

easier fix is:
Award work "scab free"
Avoid work "with scab"
If we can award LHR and avoid BOG surely we can avoid scab ....no? Make all the scabs sit reserve. that sounds fair to me.

The previous awards to the LUAL guys on the 787 were just listed on the bottom of the posted award. That's just how they chose to list them on the document. They retain all their seniority for bidding once they are on the equipment.
As said, once the fence comes down, it's a free for all.

It wouldn't really matter if the award said that they were to bid monthly lines out of seniority order as well. I don't think any LUAL will be on the 787 actually bidding lines before November because of the delay for them to get assigned and finish training since they didn't get any until the last bid and this one.

On a completely unrelated note, if I was not senior enough to hold one of my bids as of Friday's vacancy report is there any chance of me getting my bid because of a position being vacated by somebody higher up than me on the seniority list vacating a spot?
Thanks for any help.
