I'm a new hire, and I've been wondering about this... Does anyone know when the last scab retires? I'd have to think they would all be getting pretty close to retirement?

That is mostly correct.

Many are already gone and many more will depart within the next few years but there are still a fair number that scabbed at a very young age (early 20s) that will still be around for a bit.

2028. The old (pre-age 65) saying used to be scab free in 23.

Actually 2029. TF, SCAB and as available in open time shopping as our crud trip trade system allows.

Which is better?

"Scab free" because they all retired or, "scab free" because pilots (or any other represented internal labor class) will never be released due to size and market share...no day of decision.

I would contend in the first instance, you know. In the second instance, everybody talks and everybody's tough while in the seat...but you don't know.

Which is better?

Based on having to work with the group of scabs we have far to often over the last 10 years; option one ALL DAY AND EVERYDAY.
