Here's an example of "aviation market liberation"; it's only the beginning of new trade agreements between US and the rest of the world.
How long, before those trades will liberate us from good profits?!
Low-cost Mexican carriers could be big winners with new aviation deal: Travel Weekly
Vote YES, Take the money, before we find our airlines compete on new "liberated market", asking us to "help out" a little!
No voters are pushing for full negations; it's a promise like a santa with a sack of goodies; grow up, there's no santa, your parents have tricked you.

i think both sides are guilty of overstating their positions.... having said that today the Chinese and American markets are solidly moving red one day before the vote on fears of a global recession and the middle east is picking sides between Iran and Saudi Arabia so the price of oil is likely to climb.... with all of this continuing instability it would be foolish not to accept a pay raise for little/nothing in return... in the 3 1/2 years of negotiating we face things could go from bad to worse and instead of earning a great contract we might find ourselves fighting for what we already have...

You have no idea what you are writing about.
As I wrote, I know the details first hand, I know the law suits and I know who were and are real scabs.
I may have also forgotten to mention I believe all the "Tracy Aces" were retired by 1985. If not there might have been two left on property.
They were called that because they were hired and trained by UAL in Tracy, CA during WWII young and Captains most of their career.
I met only one "Tracy Ace" in 1978 who was still flying. He was a DC10 Captain who let me jump seat with him when we didn't have pass privileges.

Reread my posts. I never called Staller a scab. I said he was hired in 85.
Me thinks he doth protest to mucheth..................
Feeling guilty, Staller?

You are very sadly mistaken who these people were and what they did in 1985. And no I am not a 570.

I'm glad you finally are admitting that the company is giving us a lot for something they already had (the loa/mou) but abused... don't focus just on the pay raise.... remember the furloughees are made whole and there is a no furlough clause which protects legacy UA guys going out the door first in a downsizing... unless you are a "throw them under the bus" / scab kinda guy... voting is open, just voted yes

UA can furlough all they want as long as the 76 seat RJs have 6 seats removed. Would it make UA think twice? Perhaps. But in a downturn demand is probably reduced anyway.
All the TA does is change the "trigger" to all pilots currently on the list and not just the pilots on the list at the time of the UPA.
Is this an improvement? Yes.
Is this a no-furlough clause? No.
Carry on.
