They are shrinking both ONT and MIA. They back-fill crews that bid out but do not replace crews who retire. There has not been a vacancy in ONT in at least a couple of years and I think the same is true for MIA.

The union website only had 4 yrs worth of data but ONT has stayed in the 215-230 range the entire time. Have the number of lines varied much?

No domicile is shrinking.

Some F/S/D get plussed up, whittled down due to retirements, then plussed up again. The ebb and flow between vacancies is normal.

Prior to this bid, the last time they had a vacancy for Bus CPTs was…November 2019.

Is it because of the Stockholm syndrome, you know, them felling sorry for the abuser or because those people freeze to death when they ride in the back?
Asking for a friend..

How do you think we stay awake on a long flight? We bet on which jumpseater will succumb to hypothermia first. There is nothing like thanking a 74 guy for letting you snooze in their nice perfectly climate controlled bunk on the way to SZX by freezing them solid when they jump seat home with you. You know you wish you could join the cult.

It’s been two days of no comments on the thread?!? Come on! Surely someone wants to post the odds of a three year seniority hire holding upgrade versus the bypassers grabbing all the slots. I’m guessing a late 2017 hire will be the new captain plug.

Buddy of mine who is a July 16 hire said he is about 90 away.

Pretty sure the last bid went into 2017. The first mock went well into 2017 on this bid. No where close to a 3 year upgrade and I’d be shocked if it ever did.
