I understand nothing is for certain. But, you don’t think it would take a year or anything like that do you?

There is so much economic uncertainty, it’s impossible to say for sure. Especially since I don’t know how many are in the pool, where you rank in the pool, and which way the company will go. Although it’s unlikely we will completely stop hiring, expect Thome to protect our profit margin at all costs. She was hired to increase it to where it is today and is unlikely to carry extra employees if demand falls significantly.

Plenty of uncertainty to go around at various carriers

That and we've (FedEx) canceled classes for Jan, Feb and March.

I left pax for the stability of cargo. Guess I’ll find out if that was wise or not.

If you are already on here you will be fine. Even if they choose to shrink the airline they will simply stop hiring and retirements will take care of it. Our furloughs cost the company more money than they saved.

This is the first I’ve heard. Anyone have a confirmation? I’ve only heard of FedEx cancelling classes

If they’re going to reduce class sizes and hiring in anticipation of an economic slowdown, why are interviews still going on? BL, why keep increasing the pool until those in it have had a chance to start?
