UPS to hire 63

To add:
Training pay is something similar to monthly guarantee at year 1 rate. Benefits start day 1 so you're covered if you need anything but you don't get acct numbers for a couple of weeks. CASS within a few days, ZED fares at 90 - 120 days. Hotel is normally an extended stay type thing but they've had availability issues here and there.
You get a full uniform set including leather jacket. You also get 1 flightbag (a few types to choose from), and 1 roller (24", 26", or a 34"). Uniforms get restocked yearly, suitcases 5 yr cycle.
The bus in SDF and the 757 SDF domestic have the most newhires, the Z is next, ONT 75, Mia 75, SDF MD11, then ANC MD11 and 74 being the most senior. I understand about 400 guys have bypassed upgrade. Our mandatory retirement percentages are pretty close to DAL over the next 15 yrs.

I do have to agree with several others, what a $hit show this turned into at the end. Article 13 was basically dumped. So many issues with this article alone. But never fear the dynamic gay duo of beavis and butthead are all over the BG sales job.
Raise? There was no raise. Cola is a joke.
1.5 billion for 10 years. Again that's pathetic. That's about one quarter profit at workers paradise. Not to mention, I want an exact list of where that money went. Fantasy unicorn bunks on the 76 that will never happen or sleep room improvements that are not my responsibility don't count.
Read the FAQ closely. Most of the really important questions have very weak language as a response.
No sample bid packs, no answer to the bull**** denied trades and ask yourself this very important question, what article chair has not posted on the BG or any other area. Yep article 13. I'm sick of flying 14 day trips with 10 layovers 24 hours or less and dudes hanging in the straps on every leg.

Funny how everyone thinks it's a COLA raise, when the inflation rate was a little over 3.2% total between 2012 and 2015. not perfect, but I trust the EB. I'm sure if it was financially feasible, theyd give us all 4 billion per year in profits. It's those other 400,000 employees that get in the way. I have met one no voter so far, the rest know the deal, and understand the time value of money made now, not 3 years from now

While I agree 100% that a lot of guys contemplating leaving early, may reconsider because of the increased retiree health care costs, I think there will still be a large group that leaves after the second bonus payout. All the military guys don't have to worry about the retiree health care increase. The ones who do, and I completely understand their disappointment, have been pretty vocal so that tends to make one conclude that all the potential retiree's are in the same situation, but they're not.

Don't be such a homophobe. I'm sure they'd let you play too. Just ask them for an invite.

Survey said the vast majority wanted retirement improvements as a top priority. EB delivered. Next time everyone needs to put QOL at the top their list. I'd love to vote no but the faster and more lucrative path to a better contract is to vote yes, absorb this TA and start prepping for C2021. If we all start wearing out vests and lanyards now there is a good chance we will get close to 100% participation by 2021. Then No wavers, no favors 6 months before C2016 becomes amendable. Strike vote no more than 30 days after the amendable date. There's a plan. What's yours: vote no and wait for someone to make it better? Wake up! This battle is over. Start looking towards the next one.
Zed's:

Lufthansa (way less non revs than US)
Jet Blue
Ravn Alaska
TAM
Mokulele
Southwest (appx $50 / segment)

There is also a deal with one of the South African airlines and another one or two that don't utilize myidtravel.com.
