Default Roadshow

Hum. We are a freight company and fly mostly during the night. Why are the road shows for UPS at 10 am?

Because there is a LOT to cover. It'll be at least a 6hr meeting and they didn't/couldn't have the conference room until 2200 or midnight.
It's a good time for probably a lot of us,especially one's that live here.

The videos are so well done, I'm not sure all the road shows are 100% necessary.

Sure they are...Specially explaining to our future retires how they got screwed because I don't believe it was explained in those videos.

brownie,

I'm sure the EB/NC set out to screw future retirees...or maybe it has something to do with fae versus flat dollar in accounting for the contract? Which do you think it might be?

I'm not sure but since you said there's no need for a road show and everything was clear cut and explained flawlessly I was hoping you had the answer to that.

Kinda interesting that everyone I have talked to personally is a no vote but if you go on the bar and grill everyone thinks this is 100% yes vote. Fun times ahead and them meetings should be fun!

Kind of interesting, I have not spoken to a single person that is voting NO. Kind of funny how the slogan around here has been the EB speaks for me. I guess they only have to listen when it has to do with lanyards and vests.

brownie,

Don't put words in my mouth...I said ALL the road shows...perhaps I should have used all caps in the original post to aid your reading comprehension. I have seen enough on the videos to preclude me from having to jump in for a roadshow (something I have done for every contract since I have been here). If you feel the need to attend a roadshow because you have further questions that can't be addressed as FAQ or because you don't understand the videos, feel free to attend. I don't need to do that.

Shaggy,

Not sure what your representative group is, but I haven't seen a NO vote yet in the SDF sort this week. Maybe you're hanging out somewhere else...

It's going to pass easily. All the naysayers feel like the IPA screwed them. Go direct your anger at UPS, not your Union. It's a contract for all 2500 pilots - not just you. Am I happy with everything in the TA? Not at all. Is this the best we're going to walk away with. I feel it is. I will be voting yes along with many, many others that I have flown or chatted with.
