2017 UPS Hiring
#152
"I wanted to share that UPS is planning to hire nearly 300 pilots in 2017. Based on anticipated pilot retirements, continued e-commerce growth, new contract changes and fleet development, the company is anticipating the need for the additional pilots." - CPH 11 Nov

Yes. But it only two deliveries this year. And very late in the year I might add. What are two 747's manned at? 7 per plane. So 28 bodies needed. The IPA training gains, OVC, etc. do not come close to covering the anticipated numbers talked about. Not even close.
So either UPS does not hire the 300-375 like the rumors say. Or something is up behind the scenes.
The Fleet development and E-commerce growth has to be additional new gateways. If not, I don't see the need for 300+ hires.
This is UPS we are talking about.

So 46 bodies needed, not my 28 number for the two 747-8. Good to know. Still way short of the 300+ stated they are hiring in 2017. When added to the 150~ leaving early/age 65 in 2017.
Hoping it is for New Gateways.
