Nah, some guy in the sort had an interesting argument in favor of it and that was one of his talking points. Just having a little fun. He did say he heard UPS doesn't think it would be cost effective based on our relative size.
I think a joint Philly/EWR base would be more likely.

For those in the jobs search, some
news from the inside: the 300 new hires planned for this year are solely due to demands created by our new contract and, I assume, projected retirements. Staffing for the 14 firm dash 8 orders will be on top of that and mostly in 2018 and beyond. Might eventually see a 3,000 strong pilot group after all...

Only 18 years late. lol- Still remember Ken Maze and Bill Beale saying "3000 by the year 2000" many, many times. 10 years of stagnation is something we can never get back. Luck of the draw as Airline careers go.
The one's getting hired today will have the total opposite; a stellar career. And I mean Stellar.
