Yes, UPS is AQP.
Newhire training typically takes 8-10 weeks from Day 1 through completion of sim training, depending on fleet. Pattern is most often 5 on/2 off, though not necessarily weekends. Training for 757, A300 and MD11 is in SDF with 747 and MD11 training in ANC (I think ANC-based people can expect to train for the plane up north). Training pay is guarantee (75 hours every four week pay period @ 44.72/hr), with half guarantee paid every two weeks. Single occupancy hotel is provided through end of sim training for newhires, but no per-diem. Uniforms, suitcase, EFK (iPad) and EFK bag are provided at no cost to newhires.

For those trying to plan their future, it should be noted that in 2007 training exceeded 14 weeks for some. This was primarily due to the MD11 sim breakage. Although the probability of a sim breakage is remote, training capacity may be an issue in 2017.
