My statements that ALPA and the ALPA PAC are left wing organizations and not at all "pilot partisan" stands.
Carl
Starcheck was partially correct.
ALPA didn't endorse Obama. Prater contacted several large MEC's and there wasn't enough consensus to do so, and the Executive Board never voted. Prater as ALPA president personally endorsed Obama. Prater as ALPA president voted for the AFL-CIO to endorse Obama.
I believe, however, that Starcheck is wrong on ALPA ever endorsing a Presidential candidate. I believe ALPA endorsed Clinton in 1996 and Kerry in 2004 through votes of the Executive Board.
Take a look at the PAC website. Last time I checked it was 60D-40R for contributions and growing more balanced all the time. Pilot Partisan ALPA has made some good friends on both sides of the aisle, with almost every letter or legislative action sponsored or pushed by ALPA coming with sponsors from both major parties.

UALs MEC followed suit and officially endorsed Obama.
Good update from C20. While contractually legal, I really believe the way this whole thing was handled was disrespectful both by the company and the senior MEC types. The bid changed- drastically. They should have pulled it but didn't.
Also, given the "reduced growth" in the Atlantic, I'd say that is with high probability the final nail in the coffin of a "cure" for the JV balance. SD is a lawyer, so you have to read between the lines in what he writes. All the TATL growth is certainly not ours. Given that 25% of our largest metal is going away via assistance from our TATL network, the logic points one direction with regard to our TATL growth. Shrinking? Doubtful. Anemic? With certainty.

There's no money in 4-engined large aircraft.
Anecdotally, I had to fly to ORD for an appt. Bought a ticket on AA round trip. 737-800 both ways. Their cabin service sucks. On the 4 hour flight back to LA, the FAs passed through coach one time asking "do you want anything?"
About 3 hours into the flight, I walked to the rear galley looking for a glass of water. All 3 FAs had the curtain drawn, feet kicked up and were playing Candy Crush.
I'm so happy to be working for Delta and partnering with a, largely, professional group of associates.
Carry on.

Concessions allowing a non seniority early out.
Which is fine if we get a 10% hourly increase in exchange. We will get nothing and grant relief because our PWA is written in pencil.

If you think their cabin service is bad, you should see their cockpit procedures! Pretty sure they remain unchanged since the 1960's.
This is more what I was going for:
Their will be no displacements. Training is already a cluster. They cannot start a reverse waterfall. Dickson already said they are approaching the association for relief.

I posted that for the view of the TBIT and our codeshare partners flying the big uglies. First one I stumbled upon had a 'murican 777 and that awful paint scheme. Look past the eyesore tail!
