I'm glad this vote ends today. Hopefully all the negative people that claim that they are hostages here, that we have Stockholm syndrome here, or that the other carriers have it way better than us will take their "services" elsewhere. This pilot group has a rich history of professionals that take pride in their work and don't just assume that the world owes them everything. This new generation of pilots that entered the industry making unprecedented bonuses at FAA minimum flight time requirements came in with an unwarranted sense of entitlement. Just because you have been compensated far beyond your skill, expertise, and experience to join the airline at a time where all regionals are hiring anyone that meets the minimum requirements, you have no right to demand overcompensation for your services going forward and less compensation for the entrants to the industry behind you. Every voting pilot has the right to cast their vote as they see fit. They should not be subject to the fear mongering of a few poor attitudes that yell, complain, and pass misinformation behind the veil of an online forum. In the future, I hope that bravado and determination is put to good use in becoming educated and volunteering personal time to actually make a difference.
To those that have actually worked on our behalf to fight for this pilot group, I sincerely thank you for all the hard work and sacrifice. To the professionals that I work with day in and day out, I look forward to continuing to provide exceptional service for our customers! Fly safe my friends.

Now to be honest with the actual professional pilots in the group. This contract is an improvement, it’s slightly better for commuters and has a slight pay increase. Not to mention no more NOM. I have no doubt that the outcome of this vote will have no difference on when the company comes back to the table in 2 years. So mine as well lock in something till then. The only way to get more money is if people stop coming here.

Guys saying new pilots demand too much all while they made more than the cost of training first year without a bonus that doesn’t have to be paid back. Guys that started flying when you could start at a regional with 250 hours.(yes it was a turbo prop back then) Guys who could afford rent on first year pay In a decent area. Yea we know you only made half as much back when everything cost a 1/4 as much. It’s ok omni having flown with you and knowing your bitter attitude towards women, gays and even passengers tells me all about your professionalism, now you posting about bitterness towards young people is the reason you will never move on. You are a bitter old grump and would be a burden in any pilot group.

Just noticed that you don’t get paid captain pay until you finish OE. Most upgrades are actually going to lose a significant amount of money with the new contract their first year as CA.
Quick math- 2nd year captain, 30 hours OE paid at FO pay. That’s roughly a $30 difference. So $900 in lost straight pay plus whatever 401k contribution. It’s going to take close to a year to get ahead with the new contract....
