The bonuses getting rolled into pay rates would be way more beneficial to new hires. I left something like 15k on the table because of how much premium I worked.

If your contract, pay rates, and benefits were attractive enough then management wouldn't have to rely on bonuses and other gimmicks to get pilots in the door. Air Whiskey pilots have a lot more leverage in this environment than the lifers who plan on sticking around forever want you to think you have.

I appreciate the positive attitude of omnilash. His perspective seems to be a good way to look at this situation. Though the new contract may not be extremely much better than the current one, I do think the best option is to accept it. The reality is that as long as the compensation is attractive to enough pilots to fill class and keep most pilots happy that is all the company needs to pay. It is a free market industry. Employees can go where they want to. The company believes that the current and new contract will supply their needs so that is all they have to offer.
Air Wisconsin has offered a job and compensation that is attractive to me so I plan to enter training for FO in January. I would be glad if the new slightly better contract is accepted.

You haven’t even stepped foot on property and you are telling us the best thing to do is accept this crap ??
You are going to be in for a rude awakening if and when you make it through training. That should be your first concern buddy .

You have no idea what you’re talking about or what is really going on here.

This isn't just about the money, or lack there of. This is about the constant scheduling denials. This is about the constant looming threat of being junior assigned. This is about getting re-routed into a day off. This is about the dirty decrepit state of our cockpits. This is about our absolutely atrocious min-day and low-ball per diem. If you're voting on 'money' then your probably a yes. Good for you, I guess. Some of us want to make this place better. Our sub-par working conditions could be greatly improved.

No...wrong. Way to try and spin words. The bonuses were the one time $8,000 bonus everyone would have gotten if the last TA were accepted. If you’re going to lie, at least be believable. You, idlethrust, and company are the senior dudes that we hate flying with. 4 days of listening to you ***** and moan get really tiring.
