That may very well be.
On the other hand, the whole world has flipped in the last 14 days. Who knows what it may be in 60. And that's really the point. Stem the bleeding, that gives time for both ALPA and management to chart a more clear path forward.

Apparently C5 had their schedules cut even worse than us, to the point where their offer was min credit at 50-55 hours or furloughs. Their ALPA reps chose furloughs.
As someone fairly low on the seniority list, an with rent and bills to pay, I really am appreciative to those who took a cut to keep us all on payroll for now. I know it isn't easy for anyone, but it says a lot that we are in this together at ZW.

- Normal line.
- 75 Hours of Pay
- 65 hour line
- We have the ability to give out 75 of these lines per seat.
- We then need a 30% reserve coverage. This works out to roughly 195 pilots who will receive normal lines.
- 40 Hour Long Call Reserve
- 10 Days given to the company
- 72 hour call out
- The union does not expect these pilots to be used at all. This is only in the MOU to help give a paycheck to pilots and to aid in any possible snap back to regular ops.
- Long call cannot be converted to any other reserve, can only be scheduled to fly.
- COLA
- All benefits kept
- No Pay
- Month to Month Bid
- Voluntary Furlough
- All benefits kept under the MOU
- No Pay
- You come back when recalled.
We'll learn the results tonight, but from what I'm hearing the 40 Hour Reserve line is going to go senior on the Captain side, and the normal line is going to go to mid-tier / junior pilots. We have a handful of guys who have the ability to go without a paycheck for a month or two and are stepping up to take a leave.

v1valarob are those numbers readily available to line pilots? Meaning Seniority with DOH, along with monthly hour values?
Or are you pulling from different sources. I'm a newb but I love looking at data

What provisions in the current pos contract allows them to give everyone a payout without pilot approval?
How did this happen?
I should not take home less money simply because the co initially negotiated a contract with razor thin margins . Not my fault . We work out asses off for these people and at every turn we get F’d over .
I know what’s going on I’m the industry right now, I get that but I’m sure there are other alternatives if they just think outside the box for once and be proactive instead of reactive.

That "POS contract" was approved overwhelmingly by the rest of the pilot group. Just because you like to talk a lot, your opinion does not matter more than the rest of ours. The contract also does not govern how representation is handled. You would know that if you would actually reach out to your reps and ask them questions, instead of firing ignorant shots from behind your keyboard. I've talked to my rep continuously over the last few weeks and it sounds like the MEC was provided a lot of information and had to make a decision with that information. That is literally what they are in their positions to do. The fact that you think that this should have gone out to vote, means that you are uninformed, and then delusional if you think that we could have conducted a vote amongst the pilot group in next to no time at all.
Thanks for being a team player. All of us are in this together and you are not the only one that is going to temporarily receive less pay so that we can keep all our pilots on property.
If you think you have the solutions and out of the box thinking that will solve all of our problems, why don't you actually volunteer to help the group or apply for a management position where you can actually make some change. When this is all done, I hope we all keep our jobs and this industry flourishes again.

Here we go with your ignorance again. You pretend to think you know how things work only because you would like things to have gone a different way. In reality, you would probably complain no matter what happened.

Now that the awards are out for next month I can officially say I got really effed with this stupid LOA. The first time I bid for April I had 22 days off and 75 hours of credit. With the rebid I have 23 days off and 60 hours of credit. I got one extra day off at the expense of 15 hours of pay. I’m happy this loa is (temporarily) keeping junior pilots employed but senior pilots are getting effed up the a.

They talked to the Company. They worked on a short term deal with an expiration date. They tried to get the guarantee higher, but that would have made less lines. They made sure that the reduced lines didn't still have 12 days off. I was actually concerned about why reserves were going to get paid more than line holders, but I was told it was because there were more reserve days needed for there to be enough reserves in each day for each base.
