On the subject of bonus payouts. I just got an announcement that they are suspending my 12 month bonus until they determine staffing needs....

Anyone notice the recent spike in training failures? Wonder if this is a way to backdoor thin the herd. In all the times I have looked at crew availability I have never seen a total of 9 between CA and FO. It’s normally 1 maybe 2 with most in the FO column.

Its that thing they needed to attract us young pilots. We get that we are so lucky to make $36 an hour first year while you made $18 an hour forever and half ago, difference is back then when you made half as much starting pay everything cost 1/4 so even with the bonus we are taking home less useable income

Got the message too...if I had to read between the lines (and drawing from my previous experience in the corporate world), it says this: you ain’t getting the bonus, furloughs will happen and if furloughs don’t work then layoffs will happen and you have to sell your soul to get your $10K (no guarantee either even if you sell your soul).

Bait pilots with a bonus when you need them then shaft them when it suits you and AW wants loyalty or people to sell their souls? And sorry to the union guys, you don’t represent our interests making LOAs without speaking to the pilot group. A union is a mere formality in today’s world.

To put it plainly this was downright wrong and just shows the company cares more about itself than its employees a la classic corporate America.

Now let’s wait for the diehards to crap on us who are ****ed off with this.
