Life isn't fair so you have to stack the deck in your favour somehow. Letting people go is just part of business.
This has been broadcast as every ten years.
2001-1991 = 10 years
2008-2001 = 7 years
2020-2008 = 12 years

So, an average of 10 years, but a lot of variability.

Agreed about your last 2 sentences. Protect yourself at all times. Always have a plan B.

Take a deep breath. Based on your posts here your blood pressure hasn't come down into the normal range since February.

United supports going carbon neutral, maybe you should quit in protest.

funny how an individual company going green, or at least claiming to has nothing to do with what those 81m voted for.

I won't have to Quit when you Socialists get your agenda rolling in a few months. It'll come naturally....Did that 5000 pound brick fly completely over your head? Apparently so.

Ultimately AW is a corporation like any and didnt hesitate to show us the door and say see ya with a salt coated letter to rub on the wound.

Im one that if I found another job which offered me stability and decent pay (even if it was picking up rocks), Id take it and not come back. I mean what incentive is there? This furlough showed how indifferent people are.

Enjoy the open time and fly safe.
Flight schools are having a hard time getting qualified instructors... maybe check there.
