Awac is much different than most of the other regionals in how its run mainly because its a privately held company. Merger with psa doughtful.. with piedmont defintely not..... awac got the flying it has now from investing in usairways's last merger. If the american merger does happen i think things will look very good for awac cause theyll invest in the merger and either continue the flying they have or gain more. Awac is most likely by far the richest regional airline in america in terms of cash on hand.

Interesting take. My buddies in awac don't share your optimism. They're trying to get out as soon as possible. Awac BOD are definitely some of the wealthiest and smart folks, but I don't see airways renewing their flying with awac unless you guys replace the 200s with 700/900 fleet. Cost of acquiring these aircraft might outweigh the benefit of renewing contract as it would take years to recoup the cost of refleeting. Plus it's a fact that regionals will only get smaller and harder to staff. Best of luck to all of us. Hope those of us that wants to move on will be able to.

We have had 3 vacancies in the last week.. Upgrades are gonna ramp up in Feb. We should hire a good number this year, but I don't have a number.

I just updated/reapplied end of December, my app went from being reviewed to "considered for another job - pool"? Don't know exactly what that means. I had originally applied in May.
