I heard from a buddy that management has said that Virgin pilots need to wear the Alaska uniform by Aug. 1st, but there is no need to wear the hat. Only legacy AS pilots are required to wear the hat.
I’m no expert, but that neither sounds uniform or constructive to unity/team building.
Two pilot groups. Two sets of rules. So dumb...

The hat guy( Gary Beck) does not work for Alaska anymore. I have one and have worn it appropriately in my time. Twice..A funeral and again in 2008 to picket the board of directors meeting. If you are not picketing or at a funeral leave it where it belongs...Backseat or trunk of the car or home in the closet....White uniform shirts are from where ever you want to get them(no eyelets for shirt wings. Thankful we are not burdened with that piece of flair). Dark colored pants...ink or blue-black wherever you want to get them, no cuffs, pleated or flat front. Black Romeos, Black Justins etc...black belt.....the end

Oh, you are one of those pilots....remember Joe, cool work rules and cool scope and cool retirement are more important than cool shoes....What does the # sign and MAGA mean?
