I can almost guarantee PBS is coming soon for a vote, it will be pushed as scheduling enhancements for everyone, especially the commuters. All I am doing is telling you what I am hearing.

Wish the union would address this. Saying they will probably cancel the bid left more questions than answers. Although I'm guessing they're in the dark as much as we are? Union seemed fairly certain the bid would stand. As did OTZ:confused: possibly the only thing they agreed on.

Things are worse. HI seems like it will be particularly slow in the recovery. Mexico also looks like it will take a lot longer. The last bid allowed them time to be productive and wait it out a bit. They have now decided to be more aggressive, slash and burn the first day they can to get to “cash burn 0.” I wish it were the other, it’s not. The union does know and should put something out, I think they will soon.

I’m a fan of PBS but in light of current events no way would I vote for it, PBS will just extend my furlough.
Almost every CA I’ve flown with is completely opposed to PBS. So how how does the company think they have a shot of PBS being voted in?

Tell your friends just that... you won’t get a vote as you will be out on furlough! Angry 800 want it, add a pay cut threat, that tends to change people’s vote.

The information will slowly trickle out over the next three weeks. The suspense will be gone, I just wish everyone was honest about the furlough from the beginning. Everyone about to lose their job deserved that.

So now 2715 is the magic number from OTZ/MEA?

Wait, are you saying furloughed pilots can’t vote on a contract? Serious question, I cannot find the answer in the cba.

They may want a vote on PBS, but I can’t imagine the Union putting that out for ratification. If they were foolish enough to do so why would anyone vote yes? Thanks to you, we now know it puts 6% more of our brothers and sisters on the street.

The company has effectively stonewalled this group from receiving a competitive contract for a decade long record breaking economic expansion. One which saw record breaking profits, only to see the money we put in the bank squandered on a poorly executed merger.

The things you say may happen, but they’ll be coming from a judge in bankruptcy.

At this stage in the game, PBS and pay cuts are concessionary which the Union and the pilot group has been pretty steadfast in sayin they can just pucker on up.... even if I gotta hit the street a while. Only one of the top two most financially capable players to weather the storm would try and use this to cram something down the Union.... and it ain’t SWA.

Maybe thats what company leadership meant by looking for opportunities to arise out of the crisis.
