Your type is the exact reason why Alaska airlines pilots will only ever get an at best “decent contract” that falls waaaaaay short of any other major or legacy airline. You all have accepted mediocrity and below for so long that the company will never dare give you a centimeter above “decent.” Pretty embarrassing

Yeah, paid leave. Friggin' 2 and 5 year leaves. I'm at AA and would have given my left nut to be on one of those. Almost $200K/yr to do F all for half a decade? Sign me up.

no one will go the duration. Everyone is back but those 3 yrs and longer. They also expect everyone back this yr or 1st quarter 2022. So the longest may be 18 months but I doubt that.

Voluntarily??? Or was the company allowed to force them back?

The company calls back pilots as needed. Southwest and Alaska have that in the LOA. No one is going to be out for 5 years, not even 2.
