This is still absolutely true, but our board will have a chance to choose the absolute best deal for its shareholders, it is still in the drivers seat. The out come may render many of our executives without jobs though.

It was Hawaiian just a few weeks ago and now execs will be out of jobs. If any of this turns out the way you say then I’m sure the info is appreciated but the skepticism is very valid. It seems to change too frequently.

I think we should have a know it all dance off for the merger marketing. It could be like the safety dance advert you guys could all prance around and rap about how you have advanced law and accounting degrees.

Pilot shortage becoming huge issue in coming months, and Alaska mgmt has stated they can’t evolve a business plan to succeed in the future on the backs of
pilots. Perhaps board is realizing those leading the company are a one trick pony incapable of evolving out of the mindset of the “secret sauce” and want out why the getting is good

So the alleged reason for the AS/B6 merger not going through in 2015 was the name and who would run the company.

Probably the largest unscaled hurdles of 2015

How do you know this? I've never seen financial specifics of any aircraft order released to the public.

Understandable on the skepticism, but to be fair the situation atm is probably more fluid than a buoy bobbing offshore in a Nor'easter.

No doubt several lines of communication are opened up between the remaining airlines who are thinking that its probably in their best interest to find a dance partner, and within each board, their might even be disagreements as to which dance partner to go home with at the end of the night.

Yes, M&A is pretty dynamic. Airline M&A season is pretty obviously open right now.
