Every so often I think, maybe APC has changed and it has become a group of pilots collaborating to share industry news, views and insight. Then I read a comment like yours and I realize unfortunately it’s the same as it’s always been, 5% useful information, 95% vile people spewing hatred and division because their pathetic life is so disappointing the only way they can justify their existence is disparaging people and spreading hatred. You are the worst of this website and quite frankly this country.
The rest of my reply I deleted because it was pointless. I opted out of replying to the impressive list of catch phrases in your post. No point in it.

I always thought we were supposed to be Americans first, no matter where you came from. Now it seems whatever state leans towards politics wise you must hate a state or a city because it is different from you politically. I find that absurd. Politics is supposed to be an ideological exercise of debate, not your identity. Now people see themselves as liberal or Republican first. It’s quite clear that post is from someone who watches Fox News nonstop so they get their marching orders to hate Seattle and Portland. Never mind that most people who live in these places are just normal folks going to work everyday. It’s the same people who hate California, forget that the majority of the whole country gets its fresh food from the state. And I would agree, it’s both sides, I just see the vitriol for hating whole swaths of this country and it’s residents seems to be a particularly popular thing in the Tucker Carlson fan base.
I still can't figure out what getting our food from California has to do with anything? Are you implying we hate migrant workers of the latin american flavor? If you've ever met them, worked with them or shared a meal, you'd know they're nothing like the inner city keeping it weird entitled types that inhabit places like Portland or Seattle. What a mess.
I'd spend less time typing and more time trying to figure out what or who you are while you're watching Lemon and Maddow spew they're hatred of all things middle America.

Economy of scale, lower CASM.
Gross tonnage in a competitive sector where size does matter... the AS business model is not a unique niche like G6 or NK, all they have going for them is geography, and their competitors would like to have that. DL does not want Spirit's customers, but they do want AS's SEA hub.
Better brand recognition, the Eskimo just doesn't get much traction east of Vegas (I'm listing objective business benefits, regardless of emotional or "cultural" influences on manager thinking).
Wall street likes mergers.

So if B6 completes this hostile takeover of NK, what do you think the odds are that in 3-5 years after the dust settles they go after an Alaska merger (would likely have to drop both of the AA agreements)? Seems like that would round out the east coast/midcon/west coast network and make a truly competitive 4th national network carrier that could probably support some decent international WB flying as well. Just my late night/early morning M&A musings…

You mean AS attempting a hostile takeover of B6 if their share price tanks any further (down 30% in the last 6 months)? That would be interesting..
