It depends on the base. Some bases are worse to be on reserve. Mostly the pain point is long call convertible circadian flips. If you’re flying above guarantee and being flipped once or twice per reserve block, from early AM to redeye it gets fatiguing.

One should check the secondary bid to see where the junior pilots are being forced into. Smaller bases seem to be less busy than my base. A few flips a month at 30-50 hrs is a lot different than 4-6 at 87 hrs.

Kind of Jr, but most of those CAs aren’t going anywhere, probably not even Widebody CA IF that’s ever an option. It’ll be glacially slow progression once in the left seat.
