Why would the vote effect anything like staffing? Planes are coming, they run this place bare bones as it is, we need pilots. The vote will not affect staffing, do you think just because we vote in a union that we will stop getting planes? Not me.

Sometimes I don't think the ones in charge even know what is happening with the window opening.

Sounds like typical airline management...thanks for the info! Greatly appreciate it.

Pretty much a long leg across the country to SFO or LAX. May have an additional shorter leg to LAS or SFO/LAX (opposite what you flew into). If it's a 2-day trip then it's transcon back next day. If it's a 3 day then days 1 and 3 are similar to described just now, and middle day is up/down west coast stuff. If it's a 4-day, the 1 and 4 is similar as described for 2-day, and days 2 and 3 are either up down west coast, or an additional transcon to east and back --- out day 2, back west day 3. Eg, one leg days, JFK-LAX, LAX-BOS, BOS-SFO, SFO-JFK.

90% layovers are either SFO or LAX. Those 2 hotels are like my second home.

A year ago, I applied 2014...then applied 2015, got the questionnaire a week after , and then a call for an interview on May, that was quick.. get all ready, probably they will call you when you least think, and be ready for to enjoy the process, they are very nice people.
I never attend a Job Fair.

Qual. 5860TT, 250 PIC, 2300 TT in Airbus, experience flying in South America, Bilingual. APT and ICAO license, currently flying F/O A319/320, so that means the qual. are not at all. You never know what are they looking for that specific day. 4 people writing every single answer from you, and I guess after that they mix them notes, check and decide who will fit at Virgin.

Virgin's APC page says they are hiring as of 15 June... but I can't find any hint of that on their website. Any ideas? - Thanks in advance.

APC is slow to update. It was true probably when that update was submitted but the window is closed right now. The plan was to hire 36 FOs Jan-April and then "an undetermined amount" starting late Summer and into Fall. I would imagine the window opens up real soon.

How long do you have to return a call when on short call reserve?
Trying to see the farthest one could live from JFK and make it work.
Thanks!
