I was hired with 2550. Once you meet the mins, it's all personality from there

Does anybody have mandatory retirement numbers for the next 20 years or so?

By next year will probably be Alaska HR taking over the hiring process.
Best of luck.

I'm not sure if that's good or bad. We all laugh at the hiring process here with all this "are you virgin enough" crap but we hire good guys overall.

This is truth. Awesome pilot group here despite all the issues.

Hey guys

I was thinking of applying. LAX would be awesome as a base. I think Im pretty close to the comp-mins.

I have heard from a couple of buds who work there that AS was considering backing out of the deal for a substantial penalty. Is that a likely possibility?

First time I've heard of that rumor.

Ask yourself this- if Alaska was considering backing out, don't you think they'd keep it a secret?

And......if you hear some juicy rumor from your average line pilot you should know it's probably not true!

Very doubtful. However if the rumor was that AS is planning on dumping the Airbus leases that would be entirely believable.
