I appear to be late to the game, as there is no longer a Pilot/First Officer job posting on their website and the link from APC is no longer valid. Does Virgin open up "windows" to build an application pool? Either way, any idea when they will start accepting apps again?

Thanks!

I guess the applicant pool is filled for now. A class just started today and it looks like 2 more classes of six. They have a hired pool and will continue to interview and hire as that pool is depleted. I'd assume once the applicant pool starts to drain they'll open the app window back up. I'm think early summer.

The pilot window opened up today 03/06. I've noticed it open/close on and off to fill the pool as classes are assigned. One class started this passed Monday of 6 pilots, apparently another 6 start the week of March 17, and another 6 in April.

Anyway, the pilot window is open so good luck to anyone interested.

Do they still do the on-line logic-math-timed tests?

Any idea how long it takes to get east coast if hired for west coast position?

Yes I believe that test is still administered. If you want NYC as a newhire it probably shouldn't be too difficult. I don't know what base assignment the new class of March 3 received, but the last class of 2013 had several go to NYC and a couple of them bid back to SFO because they were west coasters. It seems at the moment that SFO and NYC are the easier ones to get. I've heard of several senior SFO FOs just waiting for a chance to get into LAX but no one is leaving LAX it seems at the moment.

I applied yesterday and had to take it. Does anybody remember how long it takes to hear something after that test? Do they send a confirmation that you completed it? I ask because I did not receive one and am curious if something went wrong.

I took it as well. Saw a screen that flashed saying I successfully completed the exam, before the window closed. Waiting on pins and needles now. No confirmation email.

That sounds like what I saw also. Thank you.

Hey all,

I am not very clear how these online applications work.

I have previously applied to Virgin and thought I should update my employer/hours today.

Is it correct that when I upload a new resume under "edit profile" it will then update my data for the job I have previously applied for?

good luck to all,

P
