Thank you. ;-)
We are all in the pool, but they seem to be draining it. HR suggested a class date sometime between the middle of fall and the end of the year. (My impression is they're metering us into class vs. off-the-streets to maintain a ratio.)
I'm looking forward to it. I'll miss flying the Dash, (no, really!), and my crews, but the new bids have sooo many trips with six legs days and shuttles, over, and over, and over.... (whimper).

I'm looking at 6500 total with over 4000 part 135 jet PIC, and my application has languished for over two years. If nothing happens by the end of the year, I'm going to have to take the hit to my income to get me some of that much-vaunted (but totally unnecessary, they keep telling me) 121 time.
Thanks! Yeah I should have mentioned I fly for a regional now, but my PIC time is part 91. So I am now building 121 time. I also have a Masters, I don't know if that does much for AS or not........here's to hopin!

Well after a few days I did get the email for a phone chat set up. Unfortunately I will be flying tomorrow when they could call so I rescheduled for June 20th.

Hey, don't apply the "all of us" to all of us, please. I've got good reasons why I'd like to be here. Thanks.

I want to be Seattle based. So, my only options are Alaska and Delta. I really want Alaska because training, front office, everything is in Seattle. If I want to one day work in the training department or anything else I can with Alaska without moving.

Also, if you read some of the posts in the Delta thread they may become a super regional as well down the road.

I wouldn't go so far as "super/mega regional"; far from it, actually. Some of us like flying 737s and enjoy not having to deal with more than a 3 hour time change. With a bit of seniority, we can even avoid all-nighters and 3 leg days. Military or not, people are people, right? The pendulum is always in motion. This place is definitely dysfunctional but who isn't? I tend to think that Alaska is a bit less dysfunctional than the mega legacies. This place works for me.
Some prefer Neiman Marcus and some prefer boutique stores. Different strokes for different folks, as the saying goes.

Wow. Just got an email from "recruiting" notifying me that an application window will open on Alaskaairjobs.com next week. Guess the application window is back in style.
