AS doesn’t need PBS. Their line bidding doesn’t pay protect conflicts and if you fall below a certain amount of hours they force you to pick back up into the credit window or they’ll assign it to you. Step trading is even worse. It’s funny how the Boeing guys are adamant about keeping this crap. With the worse PBS rules on earth, you’d still end up better than line bidding with their rules.

I know we're frustrated losing PBS, but I disagree about any PBS would be better than AS line bidding. AS's current scheduling rules are built for a line bidding system, not PBS. In the end it's going to be about the right scheduling rules and the right PBS implementation in order to make it work for the entire pilot group.

This is what we all need to consider. PBS with current work rules would be a huge disaster. PBS with great work rules could be a huge improvement.
PBS is just like any other computer system: garbage in, garbage out.
