What's up with cutting out MEX service? Any rumors about something better?

Did you all notice they reduced the number of questions in the back of the systems book? It looks like they took out a few from each section.

It's all part of being a code share s....k.. The route is being transferred to American. They say we will increase flights to Cabo, PDX and SEA. To make us feel better they say total flights year over year will increase out of LAX.

As a DL pilot I feel your pain. DAL was a good thing if you look at it! 3 years running they were happy to let AK fly anything they wanted, but AK thought that a bad idea. Go figure..... At least there is always scope protections.......

Are you referring to your scope protections that prevent Delta flying from being transfered to Alaska?????

Rather than compete with every Mexico ULCC doing LAX-MEX starting Jan 2016, its a way to trade the route today with another carrier for additional considerations that make AS competitive going forward....especially if LAX is to remain a hub for AS crews. It would be great to see AS compete in other markets from LAX since we operate relatively cheaper than most domestic carriers as it is.

The same is true when GDL goes away----and the memo did not say anything about increased LAX base flying for pilots or F/A's.-----
