No problem. If AS doesn't want to pay, then if you guys ever start real international flying, you can go build your own terminal.

That pretty phenomenal. That's got to be the highest in the industry.

Nah, we will just use the one Delta Airlines pays for ... Sort of like y'all are doing there now!

So you're saying... Alaskan paid for the terminals and International facility years ago that OALs now use? Never mind the fact that Delta and NWA have been operating out of SEA for over 50 years.

Alaska codeshares with everybody. International passengers use Alaska's domestic lift to get to their international flight. The cost should be shared by all that benefit including Alaska.

I think you're right. Delta earned $4.5Billion in 2014. Some people estimate 2015 will be a $6Billion year. Some also estimate that 2015 profit sharing will be between 20% to 25% of our 2015 W2. Obviously a lot can happen in 12 months. Not that I don't think we all still deserve more for the last decade of sacrifices, but after 17 years at Delta it's nice to finally get a portion of it back. Hopefully DALPA won't negotiate to cap it, reduce it, or exchange it away for higher pay rates.

I hope that Alaska pilots are able to get more rewards from their company as well. As professional aviators for U.S. based carriers with the highest safety record on the globe, I think we all deserve it.

Fly safe

Each employee will get 16.4% of his earnings that year. It's not actually W2 because you have to remove the profit sharing amount paid from the previous year. You don't get profit sharing on the profit sharing if that makes sense.
One other thing to add. The profit sharing is pensionable so a 737 CA who made 250k last year would get 41k in profit sharing and then a additional 6150.00 deposited in his DC plan tax deferred.

Did you read the article? ... It says ALL pax that go through SEATAC pay a fee (Passenger Facility Charge) that will benefit pretty much only Delta international pax ... Shouldn't those who use that terminal be the ones to pay for it, or do you believe socialism works in private industry?

How would you and your pax like to pay a fee that would build new gates ONLY to be used by Alaska?

I like the (not so) veiled threat from the DAL SEATAC Bubba that y'all may take your toys and play somewhere else if DAL doesn't get their way. Aww, looks like somebody needs a hug...

Delta has payed over and over again for toys other airlines use. It's the nature of the industry. Delta will not own the gates or terminal. It will also free up gates that Alaska may well be assigned. I also suspect that Delta will use less then half those gates when all airlines are added together. PFC's are how airports fund expansion. It's done everywhere in the country. Many of the passengers arriving off international flights will connect to Alaska so they benefit in two ways. More gates and people.
In addition the passengers who are the ones paying the fees will benefit from increased competition. Take a look at fare reductions to Alaska as a example.

That's why SkyW just announced a PDX E-175 Base and also growing the SEA RJ base...BOTH for AS flying.
