That's a good start.

I find it interesting that some Alaska Pilots feel they are better than the rest and do not care about who flies other equipment with their name on it.

Horizon pilots aside have no choice, vote no and you will be 50% smaller in three years. Vote yes and well you pretty much stay the same size. I know the profits are through the roof and Air Group is spending 41 million on a sign, I will vote NO and like it or not it will pass. Our souls will go down the river but we will still fly.

Now what I find interesting is everyone realizes there is a gap and someone has to fly a 95 seat something. Air Group pretty much has them in the next 30 option order. Are you guys going to fly it for less than you make today? For the same as Skywest will fly it? Just guessing no way in hell. That being said we will never get scope but god forbid two unions or pilot groups work together and force the group to have all flying in-house by an Air Group pilot. You can spin that however you want. When we all retire we are Air Group retirees.

It is all in the numbers if we do not have something to lure pilots to fly Horizon planes you lose up to 60% or more of your feed, maybe instead of bashing each other we should figure out how to work together so we all do better and at the same time keep the lowest scum of the earth from flying our passengers.

Oh yeah rumor has it PBS was sold to our union by yours so it is coming to you soon.

As an outside observer, I think (and have always thought) any jet equipment over 72 seats should have been flown by AS Mainline pilots. Even with a lower pay scale. But that's just me.

And when did ALPA EVER "sell" anything to the Teamsters? You had the chance to go to ALPA years ago and opted not to. It seems pretty convenient to attempt to foist off the Airline Division's mistakes on a RUMOR that it was ALPA's fault.

You want to point the finger, point it in the mirror. To paraphrase the old Toyota ad, "You asked for it. You got it!"

I haven't flown with anyone at Alaska that hasn't looked out in disgust when a 175 with an Eskimo on the tail comes strolling by. Not sure what else Alaska pilots could have done. Every mainline has the 175 flown by a regional. Delta/Shuttle, American/Republic, and so on.

Those jets should be mainline airplanes. Not the fault of Skywest, Horizon, or Alaska pilots for that matter. It's a management ordeal. So no sense in bickering with each other on it.

The terrible situation they have put us in is that not only are future EMB's not going to mainline they are putting Horizon in a concessionary position to get them. It's the decision of the Horizon pilots to make, but no doubt if the CBA is turned down and those additional jets actually end up at Skywest it will be managements fault/greed that Horizon pilots are not flying them. Or mainline for that matter. All this to save a couple bucks.

I say call managements bluff. But defiantly not my decision to make.

A little birdy told me that the puzzle palace wants a 2 year contract extension. It involves pay raises and PBS up the poop chute. Anyone else hear this rumor? PBS=a h*** NO from me unless they agree to $500/hr. and other work rule improvements.

I don't think anything would convince me to let the PBS camel's nose in the tent.
