Any facts or rumors about negotiations?

Not sure what you looking for. We have been in Mediation for Neg since the beginning of this year. No real progress made. At current progress it will be a couple of years, that can change either direction.

Facts:

Progress is slow.
We've been in mediation for many months now and haven’t reached a TA on a single section.
The gap between the two parties is massive

Rumors:

The company isn’t interested in a deal until Viva is settled, which could be who knows how much longer.

The long game will continue…..the airline is doing well financially & operationally & they continue to enjoy the flexibility provided by 1980’s regional airline work rules, and industry-bottom pay. Attrition has dropped by half since the announcement of the retention bonus. And Sunseeker is opening. These are the salad days for Allegiant management.

I am new so I am not trying to start an argument but the $65k is the first year only, it gets better fast. I currently make about $62k a year and get a raise if $2-4k a year. Sure year 1 sucks a bit for some but that quickly changes. It would take me 6-10 years to make 100k in my current job. Based on my basic info of Allegiant in 6-10 years I’ll be making $120k and possibly $200k+ if I make captain in 10 years. And that includes the next 6-8 months of time building. So I get more pay and I don’t have to live in a hotel 3 nights a week. I see my family regularly. Plus in a couple years when the contract is re-negotiated I could be making more. I see it as an all around win!

Ten years? You could be making $500K at any legacy in ten years.

Might even be able to hold day trips, although you'd obviously be on the road until you're senior enough for that.

True I could make more over time at a legacy but honestly money is not everything (not everyone is money hungry). Quality of life NOW and being with my family now is MUCH more important. My point is I can make significantly more move than I currently make AND have a great quality of life NOW doing something I love. Down the road pay may be more than I expect and if so cool. If not I can deal with it. I am just saying it seems like a good place for lots of people and I think it is funny all those who say otherwise but don’t leave.

To me it is not worth 3-6 years of 12-18 nights a month on the road to hold a day trip better paying job later.

Just my opinion as an outside perspective looking in.

Not arguing your personal priorities, just want you to be well informed. In this day and age many outsiders just don't understand some of the upsides to 121 simply because it's getting into the hard-to-believe realm for the average American.

Also while we all know that money can't but happiness, lack of money can certainly impede happiness

But don't miss your kids growing up, that's priceless. I slow-rolled my career in part for that reason.
