This is assuming that the narrative you’re being fed by the IBT is correct and not spun. I’m starting to find it a little odd (just kidding, it’s been odd since 1224) that it’s always the company’s fault but IBT can’t do anything besides whine to the members.
If things played out like they claim, GU would be screaming and stomping to be released.

but if management was stupid and brazen enough to disobey the mediator then GU better be running to DC demanding to be released.
side note: this negotiating committee’s ignorance is insane. Multiple union reps are telling pilots that the only way to pressure management is to “wreak havoc” and get their attention during March Madness.
AA was being sneaky during the town hall but the stuff they’re telling pilots is gonna get the union sued and some of the reps will be fired if they keep encouraging guys to “wreak havoc”, “meltdown the operation”, and “burn it all to the ground”.
If GU doesn’t put an end to this then he’s gonna be sending our $10m in dues to management for AA, JK and JR’s wildcat shenanigans.

What actually happend? We changed mediators. Mmmmkay... Now we have this new one and both sides claim to be happy with the change. We see great progress, and then BOOM! One step back. Ok so I'll ask again, IF it's as bad as the e-mail appears it to be, then is this mediator scolding the company? If so, then it should be easy for our side to state their case for self help.
But when I see things such as the company showing up "unprepared", I have to ask, REALLY? They got "world class" J. Glass in there. You really think they're showing up unprepared or stepping over their own d***ks in a manner that the mediator would allow? For example, when discussing stacking/unstacking, the company has said 70% and they won't budge bc of XYZ. Then we read, they're not willing or ready to negotiate... Well, in my view that's a half truth, bc if the business really believes that anything less than that will damage the model? Then why would we (if we are at all) continue to try and get less than 70%?
So I imagine other things are the same. I get it, there's a lot happening behind the scenes. But something just isn't adding up. I mean a few months ago we were hearing that we were going to be released soon. Here comes March and it appears to be more of the same. I dunno, this is frustrating is all.

Yeah I'm not completely dismissing the e-mail update. But I will point to something... Remember the e-mail at the end of October? That basically stated everything that the company was "outrageously doing", and the section 1 and 3 debacle? I asked back then, if it's really as bad as I'm reading it, where is the mediator in all of this? Bc if it's as bad as it sounds, then the mediator should be all over the company's throat; I never got an answer.

JR to ups? Dude should resign immediately. If you aren’t going down with the ship then why are you sitting at the table? GU has lost all trust within the pilot group, the company is loving this. How long until everyone wakes up?
you can put all the blame on the company, but they’re simply doing what they should do and our sh*t union continues to disappoint, but for how long will we let it go on?
According to the union, in this last meeting, the company showed up unprepared, therefore it should be a home-run to declare an impasse!…
I was once a believer in this union but we’ve continued to be duped over and over again and all we want to do is blame the company for doing their job. It is ultimately our decision, but we keep going back to the abusive husband thinking it will be different. An impasse will never be declared with this union…another possibly sooner than we think...

I sure hope there are a lot of VFNs this March! I need to supplement my regional airline pay rate.
