Hey, since we are playing grammar police, which is always a sign of top-notch intelligence, your last sentence, "Want to know how I know you’re not a Delta pilot?" is technically a fragment because it omits the subject "Do you."

There. Now we are both keyboard warriors calling people out for no reason at all

So per our system base bid that was posted a couple days about. New Hire classes are still said to be late 2026. That is was unlikely anything prior to summer 2026.

No way they don't hire with the attrition machine winding up and ready to rip...

Maybe they seem to think we are well overstaffed and could see departures and still not need anything for awhile.

They are overstaffed for the majority of the year except spring and summer. They already have a solution for those busy months and we all know what that is. They are waiting for people to leave in droves and they’ll be happy. Maybe things will change if they start announcing some growth. Not seeing that right now.

There idea of growth is improved margins via swapping into the newer 737 and parking AB. and the only growth they seem focused on is the joint venture so they can make more money off cheaper labor. Seems to be zero focus on growing the core airline as that would likely require them to actually want to get the pilot contract done.

I wish you were right but any dreams of the attrition kicking up like before are just that dreams. We will never have attrition like we did in 2023, we blew that leverage. Management is clearly in the driver's seat. Even our ace in the hole IBT attorney at the NMB is gone now. Deidre quit the NMB so we can't even play the political cards anymore.

Bravo IBT!

Her previous IBT attorney job was half a decade ago. She didn't quit the NMB but was fired, although I can't say I'm surprised you're somehow blaming the IBT for that.

I’m blaming the IBT for wasting the greatest leverage we will ever see in our careers by letting Andrew act as a mob boss; I’m blaming the IBT for wasting half of 2025 by asking to be released because they had “connections” at the NMB (direct quote from union earlier this year); I’m blaming the IBT for putting Untersheer as our trustee and letting him use us as pawns; I’m blaming the IBT for keeping us in a trusteeship for almost two years (two critical years without any elections).

hope is not a strategy but that is all Untersheer and his cronies did for the past 1.5 years. Hope for a new mediator to pressure management (didn’t happen); hope for Deidre and NMB to pressure management or release us; hope for attrition to kick back up so IBT could regain leverage.

What they are not doing is getting a deal done.

I could go on but I think you get my point.
