Agreed. One look at your resume and they'll know you have "DL/AA/UA in 6 months" stamped to your back.

If you're currently flying, try and get violated. That might help your chances since they know you won't be going anywhere. I kid! (kind of)

But, but, we got a new lower-priced crew menu on board! Plus, MG was nice enough to not cut our pay due to their hocus pocus accounting tricks with the 757's! Cancel the strike vote! We've gotten everything we've ever wanted!

MG’s mind games. He’s taking a page out of Stockholm syndrome. “Thank you sir, for not beating me today, so humble..”

Ain't that the truth. Thanks for not charging that depreciation of a fixed asset as an operating expense. By the way, the pay band doesn't change until May but you can be sure that it will be changed before then...

Well, I hope all drivers stood strong today as they were desperate for pilots to cover sick calls.

Not true. Management kept telling the public flights would operate as they thought enough pilots would cross the line to add to management pilots. On Monday, June 14, the CEO sent an email home to say that, due to changes caused by the strike, payroll for June 15 could not run. They couldn't run payroll but they could and did cancel all medical benefits, sending out COBRA notices immediately. It was a scare tactic to try to get spouses to pressure pilots to cross. It didn't work for two reasons and not a single pilot crossed the line. Finally, the company came back to the table.

Don't ever distort the true story of the Spirit strike with such speculative comments.

Are they having a hard time hiring pilots?
Why would they reduce their minimums to basically just an ATP certificate?

Are they losing too many pilots to other airlines?

Just a guess but I'm betting its preemptive approach for what's about to come. The majors haven't really opened the floodgates yet. If you go to the job fairs, the regionals are empty. Most people that are currently at the regionals want JetBlue or better. So if I was in recruiting, I'd want to get as many in the door now.

Add to that more Airbus planes are arriving as we speak and you have the making of a perfect storm.
