You guys are doing great! I saw the headlines with your pickets and strike vote. Disregard the doubters and naysayers, stay proudly unified and focused on the goal. You guys deserve better and from what I'm seeing, I think you're going to get it. I still have allegiance to Allegiant people, you have my support! Hopefully I can make out to your next picket. Any plans yet? Date/place?

How many engine failures/fires have you had in the last two years? 30? Or is it up to 35?
Who else allows a "sliding scale" payroll based on profitability?
Those are the things that mark Allegiant as a PoS, not the pilots. I'm in your corner. Your work for a Company that has no problem shortchanging maintenance and the employees while raking in the profits.
That defines a PoS company. Don't take it personally. I sincerely hope you guys have the gumption to shut the place down until they decide to treat you right. Time will tell.

Good luck to all of you. You have worked your butt off to build your company. You all deserve a better, safer, more respectful contract.

Prior to being released to strike, Allegiant will announce a merger with another U-LCC. Thus moving a contract resolution years down the road as the new seniority list is hammered out between the two pilot groups.

Alpa merger policy requires a contract before seniority integration (company synergy) to prevent another Usair debacle. Not sure how it would work if you merged with another non-Alpa group

I was half way thinking the same thing. Kinda a "what if?" scenario. MG gets his payday and can walk away. I just don't see who takes us with all these 80s. Maybe after we switch to an all AB fleet, but that's still a ways off and I think release is closer than most guys think.

There is simply no feasible way to incorporate our out-and-back route structure from one small airport to another. I can see Frontier and Spirit merging together but no one can mesh with what we do.
Look at our bases...
IWA
BLI
PGD
PIE
SFB
-----------------
LAS
FLL
Everything above the line is going to be impossible to merge and that is the majority of our flying. Ain't going to happen regardless of what aircraft we fly.

How do you figure ‘six months’ living expenses? In the last twenty years I count eight airlines that have been released:
Spirit 2010, 5-day strike
Amerijet 2009, 17-day
World 2006, 9-day
Polar 2005, 17-day
Comair 2001, 89-day
NWA 1998, 15-day
Skyway 1998, 89 minutes
AMR 1997, 24 minutes
These numbers seem to suggest, history is on our side.
