Yup. Just got word that the judge ruled in the company's favor. No strike for the foreseeable future. Not to mention basically ZERO progress with negotiations this week. Another win for the bad guys.....

So the NMB did call them to DC to resume negotiations, as the company has maintained all along....

Usual company propaganda. This was not a resumption of regular negotiations. The NMB doesn't halt negotiations for months, than schedule a 2 day exploratory meeting with senior NMB staff members in DC to just 'resume negotiations'. Had that been the case, the mediator would have simply met with both parties, as usual. This meeting was intended for both sides to show their hand to determine whether the proffer IBT requested was to be granted. After yesterday's typical display by the company, I would guess that discussion may still be ongoing at the NMB. Sooner than later, like every other entity, they too will come to terms with this company's tactics.

.....and there was no chance the judge would rule against us.

We have a long road ahead.

True, this is far from over. The judge might still rule in our favor. From the letter the IBT put out last night, this latest ruling was just on the TRO. Future court hearings will address other civil and criminal motions against the company. A positive outcome is that Disability was rectified. Line bidding has yet to be adjudicated, but I'll wait and see. This judge has ruled in our favor before. Unlike MG, I'm not going to assume or predict how the judge will rule, But I think the move on IBTs part to strike and pull this lecherous executive group in to court has served our cause very well. We have shed light on their scheme and hopefully will continue to do so. Look at the stock, the market has reacted and will continue so long as we stay the course. No regrets, whatever the outcome, we will not go away quietly. The nice guy approach was going nowhere and we would still be playing patty cake 10 years from now.

Once Judge Gordon allowed the company to spend basically an entire day droning on about the scheduling system and seniority and, you know, it's just not that simple, there are so many variables, sniff sniff, yadda yadda yadda....the jig was up. Pretty evident a sitting judge in Las Vegas, probably with Steve Wynn whispering in his ear, was not gonna be party to shutting down a major source of bringing folks onto The Strip.

If company execs are later found to have fibbed about Merlot they will be fined a few thousand $ which they'll grab off their coffee table on the way out to work.....Gordon is not going to rule that you lied so paper bidding is back. PBS is now the status quo, to get line bidding back will mean spending negotiating capital.

That's not what the judge said. I heard it with my own two ears. If the company perjured themselves, there is going to be more than a fine. Yes, the judge ruled that his ruling last year is now the status quo but the ruling last year was based upon intentional deception by the company.

That's the whole purpose of status quo to begin with.
