Allegiant jet returns to McCarran after reports of engine fire - FOX5 Vegas - KVVU

The Boeing 757 turned around, though, after reports of a fire in its left engine, Jones said. The airplane made an emergency landing at McCarran at 4:20 p.m. and safely taxied to the gate.

Citing a Clark County firefighter who inspected the plane on the ground, Jones said there was no evidence of fire, smoke or an explosion.

There was no immediate word of the number of people on board or of injuries.

A witness near McCarran, though, reported hearing a very loud noise that sounded like an explosion. The same person reported seeing flames from the aircraft.

But this time people saw explosions and flames coming from the engine and one bright spark on Fox said it banked and started to drop out of the sky.....

Shouldn't you be studying something?

I was wondering if the traveling public as a whole was just getting dumber by the day or are our passengers extra special?
