I am a huge advocate for the union and was a yes vote. I am one of the few that hope to God I can make a career out of this place. I really don't want to go anywhere. Even I will leave this place if things don't change in the next few years. We will have to wait and see. I'm also probably one of the few who figured out how to work merlot (our scheduling software). You have to be in the top 5% in base to avoid a jacked up schedule.
Yeah, I'm pretty happy now but there are very few of us that have good schedules. I would have left yesterday if I was a junior captain or junior first officer. I know what you are thinking....... everyone has to start at the bottom and work up. The only thing is most other airlines the bottom 20% are junior. At allegiant 80% of our pilot group is junior. You have to be at the very top to have a somewhat decent schedule. PBS does not work at allegiant.

I think we have seen you before maybe? Four post and you cut your teeth on an allegiant thread? Interesting. You don’t work for G4? Yet, you’ve taken up the mantle on behalf of your “Friends” at allegiant?

Weak argument. If you go back far enough, you can see posts where even I defended this company to any and all attackers. Most of us are still here not due to lack of trying. Many of the more senior captains aren't going to go to Spirit or JetBlue because it is only a small step up. Most will only apply to Delta, United, or American.
This coming from someone who made that jump.

Ha! JetBlue a "small step up?!?" Granted, I'd recommend going to a legacy at this point over JetBlue as well, but to say JetBlue is just a "small" step up is naive. On so many levels. Apply to only those places that you want to though.

I am not "trying" anything. I personally know several Allegiant FO's and Captains that are happy with their employment and all for different reasons. Do they want to make more money? Yes, everyone in the world does. Do they wish many things were different? Yes. But they are happy to be employed and flying large jets. For all those griping on the boards you are no less a sucker than any new hire because you are still here.

Keep the trolling coming...I'm having fun envisioning which one of my fellow 'team members' you are, lol.

And you'd be the pot calling the kettle black! Have you ever worked in a big union shop? Because what is going on here just isn't unusual.

Everyone here posted in this thread for the first time at some time. What's the big deal? Only those who support your positions are welcome?
