What is going on in the training department? A high number of FOs, especially in the MD are busting type rides and/or PCs? Whaaat, G4 training only had three years to type everyone. After the last FO bust the POI temporarily shut down the training department, again? I'm hearing “Review Board(s)” being conducted.
The last time this happened, G4 management blamed the government shutdown, who will they blame for this one? The FAA has been sitting in on many check rides and looks like the check airmen are getting jumpy.
Also heard we had a new hire in the AB washing out? Put that one on your PRIA/resume. Minimal training and hyper scrutiny lately by the FAA, for obvious reasons and you pay the price.

Are these NHs or current FOs that are finally getting Typed? Isn't there a new crop of APDs in the 80 lately? I thought things would settle down once FAA JD split!

Then you know that they helped RAH's 5-year CBA last for 13?
..and successfully argued to the most liberal appellate court in the US that there is no "status quo" regarding work rules at G4?
I'd say that is a little better than "mediocre" work.
Even if one were to accept the premise that they are "mediocre," with the RLA on their side, I'd submit that "mediocre" is good enough.
Anyway, regardless of my musings, since FordHarrison's attorneys and advice are so "mediocre," Allegiant pilots should expect a contract very soon then?

BS? Ok, so we didn't have at least four FOs bust rides in the last two to three weeks? Any review boards been conducted lately? The POI didn't shut down the training dept. temporarily, again? Hmm.

FAA temporarily halted Allegiant's FO MD-80 types because of excessive busts. 4 last week, 1 now faces a review board.
Apparently the FAA agreed to resume so long as they were present for each Type. FOs were told to expect an FO PC oral, given a 1 day class instead of the normal 5 days, then showed up to a full type oral.
Airlines have known about this deadline for years but just like Merlot, Allegiant waited until the deadline to slam together another rushed, uncoordinated charade that resulted in a nice little pink under the tree for these FOs. Way to support the troops Allegiant. Merry Christmas.
And happy holidays to the passengers that will be enjoying Christmas at an airport as a result of this self-induced crew shortage

I don't know where you are making this up from but I've been in training since Sept. and we have not had any new hires fail the type ride. ZERO. Four from my class had type rides in the past week and ZERO had FAA in sim or review boards. There also has not been any talk like this about the 17 current f/o's that needed types.

Clarification: these weren't new hires, they were well known, seasoned line MD-80 FOs that needed to be typed under the new FAA mandate. 4 busts.
Hopefully the Airbus can finally pick up the slack for MD-80s for a change.
