The big 3 legacy carriers can absorb a fatal accident, I highly doubt Allegiant can.

That little "incident" whereby the MD-80s nose wheel started to rotate prematurely would have been a loss of all souls had the crew not recognized what was happening. That's probably 5 seconds between living and dying.
Lost another engine yesterday, second one this week. It happens so much that it's become routine, the FAA dithers and the company dismisses it as normal and in line with industry average. Crew saves the company again, instead of recognition they'll get the inquisition.

So after a busy holiday season I'm getting shorted on my pay, again.
I'm missing credit for one leg of a trip. I hear this has been a common error? It's not easy to get these errors fixed.

Yes, common. Very.

Not easy to get them fixed because the company profits from these 'errors'. MG has publicly apologized and made payroll errors his "highest priority", for 2 years! Like everything else, not fixed. Must be all that accountability and transparency we keep hearing about.

If I was in the hiring department at DL or AA, I'd be hiring every last one of you guys! You ALGT pilots are the ONLY reason that company is still in business. One crash and loss of life, and ALGT will be on the way out. The FAA will shut you down in 3-5 days and say they were looking into it already but....but.

Well done again, and good luck! Keep keeping the greasy side down.

I really feel bad for you guys, I hope you all find better jobs elsewhere, as soon as possible. But in the meantime, keep doing the great job you're doing preventing disasters.

That difficulty is part of the process to make you say
"aw heck it's not worth the aggrevation".
How many times do they over credit you?
Maybe the CEO overspent a bit too much on company credit card during his aspen ski junket over the holidays and a little savings from labor will make up for it.
You think these 80 engines are cheap?

This ongoing problem speaks loud and clear for Maury's integrity. How does a company of this size continue to screw up payroll YEARS after the CEO vows to get to the bottom of it all?

Inadequate tools. Just like us using Merlot and CBI and AIS, I'm sure the payroll department is using software that's inadequate to the tasks. Why? Because the company refuses to invest in infrastructure required for growth.

If you think the pilot pay system is bad, just ask one of the flight attendants. Their pay system was so convoluted no one could figure out what they were supposed to be paid.

The systems they have in place are designed to underpay everyone. They make it has difficult as can be so people get frustrated of the fight and just give up. If a certain percentage of the employees either doesn't check their pay, or gets tired of the fight, it's free money for the company.
