Had a pilot tell me the other day he's picking up, "as much open time as possible."
And the same guy will probably complaining soon, about how he's being junior manned on his daughter's bday/friend's wedding/holiday/insert important day here, and how the "terrible" IBT hasn't gotten us a contract yet...

If he complains about the schedules then suggest what everyone else does in these circumstances, call in sick. It’s the allegiant way. You lie to me, I lie to you. And it's a twofer, throw a monkey wrench into daily ops.

Doesn't matter fish. The mission mode embargo has been in effect for what? 3 years now? First it was "No mission mode for straight pay!" They now pay 8+ ABG. Then it was "No staffing the company with mission mode!" Now we're hiring faster than the training dept can handle it. Now it's "No mission mode until there's a contract!" All the time the union reps are diving onto the open time as soon as its published and doing voluntary TDY. I've lost about $30k by not doing them but no more. Until there's a total embargo on open time, voluntary TDY, and mission mode, I'll be pushing 1 every time.

So I went to g4pilots.com out of curiosity and all I can say is, WOW. The big new pay rates that the company has been saying we will get are a joke. That website has renewed my faith in our union. If there is any union guys that read this forum, I want to say Thank You. Those horrible pay rates coupled with a band system, and no work rules are something the company should be ashamed of, not proud of.
Also for anybody wishing to come to Allegiant and want to know what the schedules look like, I would recommend going to that website. They are published and I clicked on my base and found my schedule there for all to see. Made me chuckle a little considering all the single days off I have. So if you are wanting to come here, take note that these schedules are the best the company must have since they are willing to show the public how "great" we have it. If you can commute, or can live with these schedules then feel free to come. Just remember this website has allowed you to come here with your eyes wide open.

As for scheduling, the AB and 80 guys live very different lives.

And for the benefit of our new hires who weren't here for the union drive the last paragraph that sent the vote over the top:
“And vote you must (you will have the rules explained to you for the process) If you want to defeat this effort. However, should you vote yes, you can be certain that the company will not roll over and agree to union demands that are geared toward turning us into just ‘another f….ing airline'.

Chairman & Chief Executive Officer
This has been the battle cry of allegiant management to rewrite the airline profession in their image of what you rate. This website will drill the fordharrison playbook. FH the shadow human resources division of allegiant airlines which acts as their “Third Party” via propaganda websites and union busting attorneys.
So, standby for every union busting tactic in the playbook orchestrated by fh. Next will be the end around the negotiating committee; “Guys we got a deal on the table ready to go…”
