Apparently the flights to PGD and PIE are really successful, and are already 1-2x daily. Plus there is competition from F9 and WN at RSW and PIE respectively, so SRQ provides a unserved market from CVG and IND that has no competition. There have been a ton of flyers who have requested SRQ service as well, and SRQ is a huge destination from the midwest. I remember Airtran used to run lots of flights from there to the midwest.
Also I hear that a 3rd a/c will be based in IND by the summer

the flt ops page of our company website doesn't indicate any upcoming classes (they always post them there). I also just spoke to one of chiefs, said that nothing planned for at least the first part of 2018 and maybe all of 2018, but also said he doesn't know for certain and he wouldn't be surprised if that changed if they announced a big plane order or new routes etc... basically, things change so fluidly here that even the powers that be don't often know whats going on... we're more of a 'reactive' company than a proactive one (at least when it comes to hiring). stay tuned though!

The company is focusing all efforts on the transition right now. The second training center is up and running but the bottleneck is OE, currently getting close to a 2 month backup from loft. Best case scenario is some hiring starts again in the summer but the transition will last all year. With that being said, recruiting will still be attending all the major upcoming jobs fairs.

Looking for some advice. Allegiant is my number one pick of places I'd like to work. Currently flying for a regional and just about to hit one year there. Trying to figure out what will give me a better chance of being called/hired by Allegiant.
I'm not sure if I should stay at my regional, upgrade and get TPIC or go somewhere like spirit or frontier and get an airbus type and experience. Which would would look better on the resume?
Any input would be appreciated.

Do you meet the published minimums? My suggestion would be to get there as quickly as possible. That would probably mean flying your butt off then upgrading ASAP at your current regional. Don't apply until you meet the published minimums!
As said before, we probably will run some classes out of the pool later this year, and may resume limited hiring in the fall. Unless something drastic changes, back to normal hiring next year. So you have some time to get your ducks in a row. In the meantime, as said, research the company, understand our unique business model, and the company values. They like to hear key words in the video interview ('Why Allegiant"?). If you pass that, the interview in Vegas is mostly a formality to verify everything you've sent and get to know you. Good luck.
