Not trying to pick on you, saying this for all of the new guys, especially military. Please start visiting the APA website regularly. Read all national blasts, read all domicile blasts. As painful as it is, peruse C&R, just filter through the crap. Listen to every town hall that you can. Make sure you enable email blasts from the APA. We all need to be engaged during negotiations.

And tell your fellow new hires to do the same...

Never got the email from apa. but I have not missed a town hall in philly. (where i heard them say they asked all to use it.) and listened to everything from dallas. Not Mil. Optimistic about APA. or maybe it’s the future.

Couldn’t agree more. PLEASE sign up for APA emails from the Contract Compliance Committee at a minimum as well. I hear people ask the same question on FB groups and in the ‘cockpit’ all the time that are clearly explained in weekly emails.

It’s your career though...

Also, slowly but surely the APA is getting a lot of new blood, and a lot of new talent and ideas to go along with it. Our organizational structure is still efff’d, but there is positive change.

CCC and the NC have been awesome as of late. Heard my rep about the NC two weeks ago and heard the best news possible: “the BoD is staying out of negotiations and letting our NC and professional help do their jobs.”

Yep. The recent town halls put on by the NC were very impressive.

But we can also subscribe to APA emails and be proactive about flying the contract. “Summer is coming...”
