Here’s the deal..your union signed the dotted line for whatever flow agreement you have. Now you’re upset that you can’t get an interview outside of flow? Have you even applied to AA? Do you meet the requirements? We have new hire pilots from ALL 3 WOs who were hired outside or flow. You can always stay at your regional and keep your seniority.[/QUOTE

I never said I was upset. Trust me i’ll be at AA sooner than later. i’m just giving an idea to help retain pilots instead of other legacy carriers bleeding them dry. i never said giving every single pilot at a wholly owned a seniority number, just those 1 year out from flow. if you get hired tomorrow you have nothing to worry about.
Just take a breath i’m sure you’ll get a interview.
Buddy I’m not the one trying to figure out how to come to AA. Street hire (LAA), under 10,000 seniority, 37 years old.. Yes, let me take a “breath”. You shouldn't worry about the WO, AA will staff them. Thanks for the breathing suggestion..

You’re right on the $180K part. Debt not so much..

AA - $40B ($3B short and $37B long term)
DA - $36B ($10B short and $26B long term)
UA - $36B ($2B short and $34 long term)

I think the reality is what it always was - those people who hustle, get the hours, get the four year degree, get the early upgrades and LCA positions and the like while avoiding DUIs, training busts, etc., AND THEN ACTIVELY APPLY TO MAJORS, are always going to be chosen first.

Those who wait for the flow are going to be last to get hired and will get the seniority that goes with that hire date.

Flow is a BACKUP, that’s all it has ever been, and perhaps an opportunity for those who would otherwise never have been competitive to get to a major. If the loss of senior regional pilots at AA regionals becomes significant enough to threaten the AA regional feed model, then AA will either increase pay at the regional sufficient to offset that or simply bring the regional flying back to mainline.

I doubt seriously they will pi$$ off competitive people from the 135 world, from other regionals, or from the military, by awarding seniority to people at the regionals, nor do I think APA would even allow them to do that if they wanted to.

Congratulations your better than me. I'm not sure why you care so much about all the regionals then. It seemed like you actually had skin in the game with your previous post. just worry about yourself and let us not so “lucky” covid held back regional pilots worry about about the regionals and flow.

every generation of pilots for the most part have had their "luck" put on hold in one way or another, 9/11, for me it was age 60 to 65 and the Great Recession 2008-2010, and now Covid(which has pushed back upgrade for me too)...I learned real quick that the who's had it worse argument is always a losing one and not worth starting. Oh and if you don't want "major" airline pilots talking about regionals then maybe not post on the AA page?? 🤷‍♂️

I have always heard debt to asset was the more useful ratio. Equity can be all over the map. What is debt to asset?

Which ACMI is paying 180k to year two FOs? That’s great, happy for whomever it is but I missed that update.
